Fantasy Quest by Tina Gerow
Rating:
Astiria Petrey has come to Fantasy Quest resort for a two week stay to get away from her normal life and to relax. Her
ex-husband made her feel like a lump of clay, lower actually, and she felt a need to start her life over. The resort owner
offers her a computer game to play as a storm whips up out of no where and she must stay in her room until the storm is
over. This isn’t just any game, it’s a fantasy role playing game which ends up taking her along for the ride of her life. In it
she will discover that she is the highly sought after prize of Lerik, the King of his domain, but she has a quest to complete
before she can become Lerik’s consort and this is a game that takes no prisoners.
I enjoyed reading this adventure about Astiria. In it she learns that she can be loved for who she is and that there is more
to her than she even realised as she attempts to take on the quest of her lifetime. She learns to love and be loved by a
wonderful man, who in the end is her true mate. What a tempting story idea it was. I think most people would enjoy this
kind of fantasy warrior in their lives.
Guarding the Hellion by Linda Wisdom
Rating:
Shar is the Lord of the Underworld and he needs a favor from bodyguard Brady Hayes. Brady can’t say no since he
owes Shar this. However, this favor becomes difficult and delicious all at the same time. He is to guard Shar’s half sister
Raven while she spends a month at a luxury resort. That is to say he is to keep Raven safe from any males who would
attempt to become more than friends with her as well as any dangers. Brady takes one look at Raven and decides that
for her own safety he must become closely acquainted with her and ultimately they become more than friends, but will
Raven be able to stay with Brady or will her obligations to the family take her from him?
Guarding the Hellion was really fun to read. Not only was there a big, strong handsome body guard who was
incredibly interested in Raven, but Raven was equally attracted to Brady. Raven did have a bit of a temper when she
finds out what Brady is really about, hence the ‘Hellion’ name to the book, but that just made this a more interesting
read. They really heated up the pages with their ‘inferno’ of love making which they couldn’t seem to get enough of. It
was a story I savored.
Mac To The Future by Dakota Cassidy
Rating:
Jaynie Renfro has been assigned a very important mission for her magazine That’s Amore. She must take care of the
finalists in a competition to be the man on the cover of their hottest romance novel, and the demands of these
premadonnas are driving her crazy!
On a quest to recover his lost sword, time traveling warrior, Mac of Anglesey has entered the contest. He falls head
over heals for Jaynie, but then the time comes for him to move on. What’s a girl to do when the love of her life is from
another time and place, and she is so miserable where she is? Can she take the risk to be with him or will he disappear from
her life forever?
This was a fun and interesting story of the extraordinary attraction between Mac and Jaynie that drew me further in as
their lives entwined. It was hot and heavy once Mac allowed himself the chance to be with her. The way he plays the
gentleman from his time period and yet, treats her like a woman he would cherish made me wish the story were longer. This
book has everything I could hope for. Love, laughter at the events and people, intrigue as no one but Jaynie and Mac
was really who they said they were, and a charm to bring the reader a certain feeling of enjoyment that is rare in many
stories. This one was well worth the read.
Time Thieves by Brit Blaise
Rating:
From the far future, Daken and his band of four men, known as the Borka, travel across time to protect mankind. Their
mission is to save Earth from being destroyed by the Korin, an unscrupulous band of men who take whatever they want,
rape, murder and change history without conscience. When night security guard Jenny Bender is captured by Daken
her life is saved. The future is now changed again. They can’t risk her telling anyone about them, so Jenny is taken along
with them. Daken is drawn to Jenny, distracting him from the mission. As he comes to know her he falls in love with her
and once they make love she becomes his whole world, but still he has a mission to complete and time is of the essence.
Time Thieves was an imaginative and fast paced story that brought me along for the ride of a lifetime. I found it
interesting to watch Daken became both uncomfortable and aroused by Jenny at the same time. His ability to use his
mind to make her feel things gets their first sexual encounter off to an explosive start. What a way to discover each other!
I was so entranced with the story that I felt each and every touch they shared. It was a real adventure and worth the trip
to read their story. Warriors are truly an amazing breed of man no matter what time period they come from. What woman
wouldn’t want her own warrior?
