Janelle is a Gatherer, on a daily basis she tackles the dangerous job of collecting Rock Blood to cure the human
plague. In a world where most women stay home and have children; she is used to not being taken seriously by the men in
her occupation, Janelle can be a little defensive and abrasive. Her independence does not help at all, combined with her
urge to travel from village to village, forcing her to start anew each and every time. When yet another horseman flirts with
her, in the middle of a disaster no less, Janelle is not impressed. Nevertheless, when Wilder shows up in her dreams Janelle
isn’t about to deny a fated relationship. Will Wilder understand Janelle’s need to not be hidden in his shadow?
Wilder is a teacher at the Hal l of Fighting Carriers, passing the knowledge he has gained on to the young; preparing
them for the dangerous hunts in the worst parts of the world, all for the Rock Blood needed to cure humans affected by
the plague. Wilder is shocked when he finds himself suddenly sharing dreams with a woman, a sure sign she is his mate.
Many hurdles stand between Wilder and Janelle’s happiness, when one of those hurdles threatens Wilders beloved job,
will their relationship stand strong or crumple and fall?
Set amongst the wild and dangerous world of Ms. Hill’s long standing Horsemen series Victory Stallion is an
emotionally powerful story that is impossible to put down, a definite a keeper. Wilder is a physically powerful male with
emotional strength to match, his incredible journey through the course of Victory Stallion touched my heart. Janelle is
incredible, her resilience and optimism make her very likeable, while some of her stronger traits often had me laughing out
loud. Whether in dreams or reality the heat that burns between Wilder and Janelle is amazing. Janelles’ reaction to
Wilder in full coat, horse hair over his whole body designed to keep him warm in colder climates, will make you laugh even as
the heat fogs up the room. Victory Stallion touches on so many issues it almost has to hit upon something that you’re
passionate about. While Victory Stallion is part of Ms. Hill’s Horsemen series it can be read as a stand alone book.
However, you will definitely enjoy the visits with previous heroes and their mates more if you start at the beginning.
