Rebecca ‘Becky’ Yaeger is shocked to find out werepuma’s exist, of course that could have something to do with the
method of her discovery; she was attacked by a bitch with fangs and claws at a local masquerade. Finding out her best
friend and Simon, the man she’s been lusting over since high school, are both werepuma’s also helps Becky to accept her
changed reality. However, when Simon starts showing interest in Becky as his mate and Becky finds herself under his
sensual attack she must decide if she can trust the beast within the man she loves or lose them both.
Simon is beta of the pride and after Becky’s attack he finds it impossible to stop his puma from claiming its mate. His
strong protective feelings threaten to smother his slender mates affection for him however, when illness leaves Becky
terrified and alone Simon’s instincts go into overdrive. With a puma willing and able to kill to protect his mate and no
visible target available, will Becky’s illness threaten the happiness that seems so close at hand?
Humor and suspense mix on a beautiful paranormal backdrop to make Sweet Dreams a book that you just can’t put
down. Becky’s ease in accepting the existence of werepuma’s is pretty awesome considering she was nearly killed by one,
she shows a surprising lack of prejudice; her approach on life and humor combined with her sheer stubbornness had me
highly entertained. Simon is highly protective, he displays his gentle ways with his mate as he tries to figure out how best
to protect her without stifling her independent nature. The heat generated between Becky and Simon will scorch your
fingers, giving you no chance to escape the sensual haze created by Ms. Bell. Starting about halfway through the last
chapter of the first book in the Halle Pumas series Sweet Dreams is definitely NOT a standalone book and as
fantastic as they were I can’t wait to see what Ms. Bell comes up with next.
