Valerie has never stopped loving Stone, even after his harsh words and divorce. She didn’t do anything wrong, she didn’t
know how his mortal enemy ended up in their bed and she didn’t have sex with him. However, Stone doesn’t believe her
and now a year later he shows up at her shop claiming they have “unfinished business”. How do you get away from
someone you don’t want to leave? Once this fiasco of a weekend kidnapping is over what will Valerie do with her twice
broken heart?
Stone’s Prisoner a very enticing story from the first page. Ms. James packs a wallop in the few pages this short story
is. I really enjoyed this story. It has been a long time since I have read a book that could capture my attention in such a way.
Stone was ruthless in his ideas and plans to hurt Valerie the way he thought she hurt him. However, when the truth came
out ….what can I say? Stone turned out to be not such a heel after all. The storyline is one of forgiveness, tenderness
and proves that love can and does conquer all, if you allow it. Ms. James is truly a talented writer. I adored Valerie’s
strength, after Stone abandoned her and their relationship she went on. She did what she had to do to take care of
herself and her mother, even if it meant sacrificing everything she worked hard for. Stone, what can I say about him? Not
every man who makes a mistake and realizes it wants to make amends. He does and how!! Even if his plans didn’t work out
the way he wanted them to he still ended up better off than he was before.
With the addition of his cousin Heath (yummy!) the three were electrifying. I am anticipating her next story involving
Heath. Stone’s Prisoner is a keeper that I highly recommend. It is a great addition to my collection.
