Violet Calder works in her family’s detective agency. Violet is also a witch with magical powers. Working on her day off,
Violet takes a case to recover a missing dog for an elderly woman and ends up getting herself embroiled in a drug
smuggling case gone wrong.
Police Detective Reece Prescott is working on a drug case and involved in undercover work to bring down the drug lord,
Nicholas Strickland. He stops in to see his friends Finn and Dante, Violets brothers. Every time he has noticed Violet
her brothers take exception and Reece ends up in a fight with either Finn or Dante, they are very protective of their little
sister.
Reece is on the case when Violet and her clumsiness insinuate her into his case. Reece must do something to save her and
he claims she is his girlfriend to save her from Nicholas. This is when Reece and Violet must come together to save
themselves and in the process they develop into much more of a couple than either ever expected, but they seemed to
hope for.
I was enamoured with the attraction that was evident from the beginning between Violet and Reece. Violet’s secret of
being a witch makes her so very attractive to me. She can’t tell Reece about her secret side because as she learns from
her family, cops don’t believe in witches and warlocks. It’s was a fast and furious read for me. I wanted to see where this
roller coaster of a story was going to take me. It drew me in so much that I read it in one sitting and wasn’t prepared to
put it down until I finished the very last word.
Reece and Violet light up the night with their intense sexual attraction and then when they come together it engulfed me.
They were so hot that there could have been steam coming off the pages. There was an intensity that I would want with
any man who I made love with and believe me there was nothing that was going to come in between these two, not even
their differences or her over bearing brothers.
Violet is an amazing woman with incredible abilities and she’s not afraid to use them. Violet’s intent to make Reece hers
was a real draw card for me and I can’t wait to read more from Ms. Somers. She’s a writer with passion and makes it part
and parcel of Say You’re Mine.
