Bree is Alyssa’s best friend and has been all her life, but when that life is cut tragically short Alyssa sees no need to
change the status quo. Alyssa knows that Bree has always loved her husband, Colby. What better way to ensure the
two people she loves most in the world are happy? Help them get together. Bree is Alyssa’s polar opposite and knows
that Colby has never been interested in her but when he returns home ready to heal after Alyssa’s death and shows a
very definite interest in her, Bree knows that she will have to gather all her courage if she is to finally have a chance at love.
After loosing his wife to cancer Colby Hutchins is devastated. So much so that when he starts dreaming of his wife’s
best friend, Bree, craving her like his next breath, the guilt haunts him until he begins to hear his dead wife’s voice whisper
in his ear. Alyssa isn’t condemning him however, but encouraging him to go to Bree and find happiness and while hearing
is insubstantial, seeing is believing. Giving in to his desire for Bree, Colby is ready to find happiness again but when he
finds out the secrets of Alyssa’s last days, it could drive him to an act from which there can be no forgiveness.
An emotional wringer is guaranteed when a romance starts with a funeral and Guilty Needs is no exception. Bree is a
strong woman who has put aside her wants and needs for half her lifetime to watch her best friends find happiness
together, watching as she finally decides to put herself first makes a bubble of pride well in your chest. Colby is an
absolute emotional wreck and I swear you just want to wrap the man up and make the world better for him, watching him as
he learns to move on doesn’t lessen that throughout Guilty Needs. Sex runs the gamut from violent to teary as Bree
and Colby try to learn to live with their loss but always underlying the emotion is a heat and tension they can’t deny.
With such a fantastically emotional story I can’t wait to see what Ms. Walker comes up with next.
