period of the old west. Ms. Laws’ splendid writing is about two bounty hunters childhood friendship that grew more
intimate. Each man endures near fatal injuries sparking realization that life is too damn short to dance around their
passions any longer. However, Ren and Kade fear loosing the cherished depth of their friendship.
Kade is an earthy man with his dark good looks and quiet reserve. His longings are sincere as he struggles to bare his
love for Ren. While patiently breaking in a horse Ren seems calm and gentle, so more open with his emotions. As proof,
Ren made romantic overtures to Kade, who in turn blew them off. Kade thought Ren was making advances toward him
but summed it up to wishful thinking. The sexual tension builds as Kade watches their friend Anna massage Ren’s burn-
